In this special anniversary year of Hergé's birth 100 years ago the franco belgian newspaper Le Soir published an interview with Philippe Goddin who wrote a new biography which has to appear later this year.

Mr. Goddin highlights some, in earlier bio's discussed topics as the lack of real women in Hergé's work on Tintin as well the hypothesis that Hergé passed away due to HIV due to a contamination by the numerous blood transfusions he obtained near the end of his life.

In the mean time check out Pierre Assoulines publication concerning a recent interview with Nick Rodwell in Le Monde.
